HOLA FAMILIA!!!!

Well, another week has come and gone! The time really goes by so fast! Because the weather never really changes here, its always hot and sunny, it seems like it is still July, but before we know it, it will be December!

This week we still didnt have any investigators progress. We have about 20 investigators that we visit every week, but none of them want to make the changes needed in their lives, or they dont see the importance of making these changes. We have also been working with a lot of menos activos, and we have many who are progressing! I love working with the menos activos. Helping them come back to church is just as important as a baptism, if not more because they already have made covenants with the Lord and know the gospel. 

We have a young couple we have been visiting for the past couple of months and they are the greatest. Everything we teach they are willing to act on. The wife has started reading the Book of Mormon for the first time this week and she loves it! When we went to visit and she had actually read and remembered what she read and marked things she liked and learned I was filled with so much joy. Her husband is also so happy that she has started reading. They both said they finally realize how important the Book of Mormon is and they enjoy reading. I love them so much! They should receive callings in the rama this next week. They are going to help the rama so much. We are trying to help them go to the temple as well. 

We have also been visiting these other menos activos, a mom (50) and daughter (30). I also love them so much! The daughter is my favorite and I just want to be able to help her and I want her to find a good husband because she is so cute and deserves a good man:) We visit them and usually share something small and help them grind corn or something for their negocio... but this week we have started reading the Book of Mormon with them. At first they were a little hesitant, but now they wait for us to come. I hope we can help them return to church becaue they really are so great and could help the rama so much as well. 

We also had District Conference (stake conference) this weekend. It was so good! Everything that was said was needed. We also had another menos activo attend!:) I really liked what one of the hermanos from the district presidency talked about. He talked about the work of salvation and these are some things I liked that he said,

WE ALL can be a missionary by our example. We teach others by living the gospel.

WE ALL have the RESPONSIBILITY to serve the Lord. We dont need a plack to do so.

WE ALL have the RESPONSIBILITY to visit!... menos activos, converts, active members...

WE ALL have the RESPONSIBILITY to help others get to the temple. 

WE ALL have the RESPONSIBILITY to work with the missionaries.

Dont forget how important every single one of you are in this great work of the Lord. He needs all of us. I know that the missionaries cant do this work alone... trust me, we have tried and look where it has got us... no one is progressing. I know that until members and missionaries start working together this work will progress very slowly. I know we all have a part. Find your part!
